Summary

The burden of cognitive dementias has rapidly increased, estimated to affect 152 million people by 2050. Despite this projection, there has been limited progress in understanding how best to prevent, treat, andmanage dementias. The objective of the proposed study is to identify trajectories of key risk factors and their combinations that predict or protect against early and severe cognitive decline and to increase understanding of the modifiable social, behavioral and environmental factors that prevent or reduce the burden of age-related dementias.
