Linda S. Adair, CPC Fellow and Professor in the Department of Nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, was awarded funding for the project “Relating Multiple Dimensions of Stress to CVD Risk in Filipino Adults.”

The project will examine the role of psychosocial, environmental and behavioral factors that contribute to stress and how this relates to the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. The project will use data from the Cebu Longitudinal Health and Nutrition Survey.

The study is funded through April 2011 by the Fogarty International Center at the National Institutes of Health.
