Summer GRA position for distribution

We are seeking one or two graduate research assistants for projects studying health care providers and social services organization in North Carolina. The projects consist of interviews with health care providers and social service providers in North Carolina on their experiences with the Medicaid program and other payment programs. The projects are led by Dr. Valerie Lewis. In addition, this position will support other projects as necessary.

 

This is an hourly position is for the Summer 2024 with the possibility of continuing through Fall 2024. Preferred commitment is 10-20 hours/week. Hourly pay for summer is between $20-27/hour dependent on level of degree.

 

The GRA may assists with all aspects of the project but will focus on coordination of provider interviews and handling of interview transcripts. Other responsibilities may be added as necessary and fitting an RA’s skills.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating email correspondence with providers
  • Scheduling interviews and setting up Zoom meetings
  • Handling process of sending audio recordings to transcription service to get transcripts
  • Quality control of transcripts
  • Coding of qualitative transcripts

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be reliable and consistent with working hours
  • Have strong coordination skills with good attention to detail
  • Have qualitative research experience
  • Have experience with NVivo software or similar coding software
