Yong Cai is a social demographer who studies social change and social inequality from a demographic perspective, often with a strong empirical focus on China. He is currently working on several projects that examine China’s fertility change in the contexts of emerging global low fertility, aiming to facilitate China’s transition away from its “one-child” policy and the eventual return of reproductive rights to its population. |
